Engaging and Interacting with the Mobile Generation
Location: Atlantis Casino Resort Spa
Income is no longer a barrier to consumer access to mobile technology. Pad devices and phones are prevalent throughout every demographic and marketers have long used them to promote products and services. But what is the PR impact of the small screen? How does it differ from the big screen or other forms of media in terms of your ability to publicize?
Diane Dye Hansen, social mobilization consultant for the HIV/AIDS section of the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health will show us how the recently launched BetOnThisNV campaign utilizes small screen engagement, through gamification, to encourage safe sex habits and keep individuals with HIV/AIDS in care and compliant with doctors’ orders.
Diane is a Social Mobilization contractor for the State of Nevada, Division of Public and Behavioral Health, HIV/AIDS Section, which launched the BetOnThisNV campaign in 2013. This one-stop tool kit for individuals at high-risk for HIV infection and those currently diagnosed with the disease, offers prevention information, risk reduction activities and linkage to care referrals.
Diane speaks on behalf of the Nevada Coalition for Safe Sex, an organization of concerned community members, state, county, and city health providers and non-profits regarding risk behavior and prevention of disease. She brings to her position more than 17 years of experience with targeted multi-platform campaign development and public engagement across a wide variety of industries.
